To advance this goal, ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø has established international engagement and governance groups that connect campus stakeholders, gather input from faculty and staff, and support a shared governance approach to internationalization.
International Affairs Governance Groups
Primary focus areas
- Develop and refine policies and procedures that strengthen the university’s international activities
- Review ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏ꿉۪s current international engagement and related resource commitments
- Identify program improvements and opportunities for growth

- Assess the risk of ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø constituent international travel to countries or regions with significant health or safety concerns
- Serve as a resource to the Assistant Director of International Safety, Security and Risk and other senior administrators involved in international travel decision-making
- Review and approve proposed high-risk international travel by ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø-affiliated individuals

- Incorporated into ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏ꿉۪s Safety and Security Policy for International Travel as the committee responsible for reviewing and approving high-risk international travel proposed by ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø constituents
- Recognized through approval of the policy by the ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø University Senate on October 7, 2025, and subsequent approval by the ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø President on November 4, 2025
